This article is more for beginner’s, but please feel free to comment on what types of adhesives you like. One of the most common scrapbooking and card making questions is…What kind of scrapbooking adhesive do you use? That’s not always a simple question. The answer is…It depends on what I’m working on! I know that it can be really confusing at first, but here’s a basic run down on which adhesives I like.

Glue Dots are also nearby when I’m working on projects. I love the Dot-n-Go Glue Dots that come in the dispenser. They are easier to use and easier to see than the ones that come on a roll or sheet. You can get them in regular size and mini. They are great for buttons, metal, glass, and ribbon. I also use them on paper if the paper is glossy or curled. It’s almost impossible to find adhesive to stick to some glitter papers, but glue dots work well. I also use them if I’ve used brads or eyelets and want to stick that paper I’ve embellished to another piece of paper or cardstock. Because the back of the paper isn’t smooth, it may difficult to adhere, but glue dots work well. A few words of caution…..Glue dots are very sticky! They can take of nail polish and will definitely tear your paper if you get one stuck where you don’t want it. The glue dot dispensers are $5.50-$6.00 Tacky Tape is also in this category. It comes on a roll, and you cut it to the length you need. It is super sticky! It’s great for making pocket pages and 3D paper crafting projects like gift bags, boxes, and party favors.
