Graduation Card Using the Cricut Explore

Have you tried the new Cricut Design Space Beta?  I’ve only been using it for a few days, but I’m loving it already.   I thought the original Cricut Design Space was pretty good, but the Beta version seems to run more smoothly.

Here’s how I designed the Graduation Card using the new Cricut Design Space Beta.  You will notice that the screen looks a little different than it used to.  Everything is still there, but it’s more accessibl, making everything easier to find.

Are there any Star Wars geeks in the house?

OK OK I need to come clean.  I’m not a Star Wars fan.  I’m sorry!  I’m a hopeless romantic, and science fiction doesn’t appeal to me.  So now you’re asking why in the world did I make a Star Wars card, right?

I’m in a great group with some talented craft bloggers, and each month’s challenge is a movie.  In honor of the 40th Anniversary of it’s release, this month’s movie is Star Wars.  Sometimes I need to step outside of my floral, bright colored box, and make something completely different.

This Star Wars Card uses an inking and splattering technique to create the look of a galaxy. It's a great card for a Star Wars fan.
