Wild Rose Studio Stamps and Cards

April 4, 2017 by Pam Larmore 2 Comments

Three years ago, I was scrolling through Facebook, and the SWEETEST card ever caught my eye.  I had to track down the manufacturer of that stamp, and a few minutes later I was introduced to Wild Rose Studio.  It was love at first site.

Wild Rose Studio has the most adorable stamps for making greeting cards. There's Bella the Elephant, Bluebell the Deer, and so many more cute critters. Wild Rose Studio stamps and cards made with them are beautiful. They also have sentiment stamps, steel dies, papers, and printed panels.

Let me start by saying that Wild Rose Studio has not sponsored this post.  I just REALLY like their products.

Bella Baby Elephant Card With Wild Rose Studio

March 23, 2017 by Pam Larmore 2 Comments

This Baby Elephant Card is oozing with sweetness.  The name of this stamp is Bella Sleeping by Wild Rose Studios.  If it’s not the cutest thing, I’ll eat my Copic Markers.

This Baby Elephant Card with Wild Rose Studio stamp is so sweet to welcome baby or for a baby shower.

This is another one of the stamps that my husband got me for Christmas.  He’s so sweet.  It has taken me awhile to use all of the stamps he bought me.

I know 5 ladies who are pregnant and due in this summer, and they all know each other.  That is just crazy!  This sweet Bella will make the most adorable baby cards.  Here’s another Bella Elephant Card that I made a few months ago for a baby shower.

  • Scalloped Border Punch

Instructions

  1. Using Tuxedo Black Ink by Momento, stamp the image on X-Press It Cardstock.  Color with Copic Markers.
  2. Trim the image to 2 3/4″ x 2 3/4″.  Attach it to the Scalloped square die cut.
  3. Fold the White cardstock in half to create the card base.
  4. Using Scrapbook Adhesive, attach a 5 1/4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of dotted paper to the card base.
  5. Attach a 4 3/4″ x 4 3/4″ piece of circle patterned paper to the dotted paper.
  6. Cut a 5 1/4″ x 2 1/4″ piece of dusty purple cardstock and punch a border down each side.  If your punch is deeper than that one I used, you may want to use a wider piece of paper.
  7. Adhere a strip of butterfly striped paper down the center of the bordered cardstock and attach it to the card.
  8. Using foam tape, attach the scalloped square with the image to the center of the card.
  9. Add the flourish die cut to the upper left part of the card.
  10. To finish the card, add a little Star Dust Stickles to the flowers, butterflies, and die cut, and add Pale Pink Liquid Pearls to the scalloped square.
  11. I had a few pieces of scrap patterned paper left, so I adhered them to the inside instead of throwing them away.

If you love this sweet elephant as much as I do, you will love this Bella Birthday Card by Wild Rose Studios and this Bluebell Deer Baby Card.

Bohemian Elephant Card With Simply Stamps

March 7, 2017 by Pam Larmore Leave a Comment

Oh Boy did I step outside of my comfort zone with this Bohemian Elephant Card.  I love elephants, but I rarely do anything with these colors or patterns.  This card was definitely a challenge for me.

This Bohemian Elephant Card features a rubber stamp from Simply Stamps, card stock, and patterned paper.

It seems that I have quite a few elephant cards on my site already, but if you take a look at them, they are  “cute” with flowers and butterflies, birthday packages and balloons.  This Elegant Elephant Craft Stamp by Karmabee is completely different.

If you scroll through my site, you will see right away that I have a preference when it comes to colors and themes.  I love blues, greens, pinks, and turquoise.  You don’t see many jewel tones and not much red, orange, yellow, and gold.

Because this card was a challenge, (and probably a shock to my crafty brain!) I kept the design simple.  It really is good to step outside my comfort zone, but let me take baby steps. 🙂

This post is sponsored by Simply Stamps.  They provided me with the stamp and compensation to write this post. All opinions are my own.

Supplies Needed For Bohemian Elephant Card

  • Simply Stamps Elegant Elephant Stamp by Karmabee
  • Tuxedo Black Ink by Momento
  • White Cardsock
  • 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ Orange Card Stock
  • 5 1/4″ x 4″ Burgundy Card Stock
  • 5″ x 3 3/4″ Black Card Stock
  • 3 3/4″ x 2 1/2″ Geometric Patterned Paper
  • Cuttlebug and Embossing Folder
  • E-Z Runner Scrapbook Adhesive
  • Foam Tape
  • Glue Dots

Instructions:

Do you know what a Cuttlebug or Big Shot is?  Sometimes I use them in my projects, but I forget that not everyone has one or knows what they are.

They are handy little machines that cuts and embosses paper.  I have a Cuttlebug, and I use it all the time.  Before I started putting this card together, I ran that black card stock through the Cuttlebug to add embossing.  You can see in the photo below that it added a really cool pattern to the otherwise plain card stock.

Now you’re ready to start assembling your card.

  1. Fold the orange card stock in half, and attach the burgundy card stock to the front of the card using scrapbook adhesive.
  2. Attach the black card stock to the burgundy using glue dots. I use glue dots when I’m attaching embossed paper.
  3. Punch the edges of the patterned paper with a border punch, and attach it to the black card stock using glue dots.
  4. Stamp the elephant in black ink on white card stock, and cut it out with scissors.
  5. Attach it to your card using foam tape or pop dots.

And there you have it!  Yes, I know I should step outside of my comfort zone more often…..but it’s hard!  I like certain things, and I know what they are.

Check back next week to see another project using this Elegant Elephant.  As soon as you see it, you’ll think….YES!  That’s more her style.

Wild Rose Studio Bella Birthday Card

February 18, 2016 by Pam Larmore 4 Comments

There aren’t many critters more adorable than the Wild Rose Studio Bella the Elephant.  I admired the sweetness of Wild Rose Studio stamps for almost a year before I finally got any.

I put several on my Amazon Wish List, and my dear husband got them for me for Christmas.  I have had so much fun making cards with them!
