Hot diggity dog! It’s a gorgeous here today, so I’m on my way outside to plant mums and pansies and do a little sprucing up for fall. I want to share this cute Cricut Dog Card with you first.
How to Make this Cricut Dog Card
I just love this Cricut Dog Card!! He is on the Create a Critter Cricut Cartridge. I cut him at 3″. I started with a black base, and then used the layer keys to cut the brown layers. There are no tiny pieces to these layers, so they are very easy to assemble.
The dog food bowl is also on the Create A Critter Cartridge, and I cut it at 1″. To make the dog kibble, I have a Martha Stewart border punch that makes tiny circles when you make the border. I used it to cut the circles out of three colors of brown scrap paper. That sounds like a lot of work, but it really wasn’t. It was only a matter of punching 3 times and attaching them with a glue pen. The tiny dog bone is the perfect accent and is also on the same Cricut Cartridge.
Here are the paper sizes for the Cricut Dog Card. I hope you are using your Cricut!
- The base of the card is white 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″
- Bazzill cardstock. The green argyle paper is 5 1/4″ x 4″.
- The plaid paper is 1 1/2″ x 5 1/4″, and the brown cardstock is 2 1/2″ x 5 1/4″.
- I used a Stampin’ Up border punch to make the scalloped edge on the brown cardstock.

Our furry friends are very popular on cards, and there are many Cricut dogs available. Doodlecharms, Animal Kingdom, and Paper Doll Dress Up all have dogs, and I’m sure there are many others.

I don’t usually show the recipients of my cards, but since this one was sooooo cute, I just had to. Meet Buster. He had surgery on this front legs to fix his growth plates, and I sent him this card. He LOVED the card and sent me a text to thank me! He’s the sweetest dog ever and has a pretty sister named Buttons. Photo Credit: Maggie Gowe
