Cricut Ladybug Card

February 9, 2015 by Pam Larmore 12 Comments

Valentine’s Day is just over a week away, and I have a super sweet, yet super easy Cricut Ladybug Card to share with you.

Do you celebrate Valentine’s Day?  My husband and I have been married for 27 years, and we’ve never really celebrated the day of love.  Of course when we were dating, he gave me cheesy drugstore tokens like a cute plaque with a teddy bear that says, “Bear in mind, I want you for my Valentine”.  Awwwww!!!

After we got married, money was tight, and we just didn’t celebrate.  Flowers are ridiculously expensive this week, and all of the restaurants are super crowded.   Last year, I did put in a request for some Ghirardelli Squares, and he came through like a champ!

OK enough about all that mushy stuff, and onto the Cricut Ladybug Card.

Cricut Snowman Card

January 7, 2015 by Pam Larmore 25 Comments

It’s dreary and chilly  here today.  I thought this Cricut Snowman Card would cheer you up!   The State Highway is pretreating the roads.  I guess I should watch the weather. They must be calling for some frozen stuff today or tomorrow.

I don’t mind snow and ice.  When the weather is nasty, my boss doesn’t make me work.  I have tons of craft supplies to keep me busy too!

This snowman card is made using the Doodlecharms Cricut Cartridge, patterned paper, baker's twine, markers, ribbon, and a little glitter. Post includes a video showing step by step how to cut and assemble the pieces.

Use your Cricut to make a beautiful Cinderella Card for a little girls birthday.

Instructions:

  4. Punch a border in one of the patterned papers, and attach it to the blue cardstock.

Cricut Dog Card for Any Occasion

September 28, 2014 by Pam Larmore 7 Comments

Hot diggity dog!  It’s a gorgeous here today, so I’m on my way outside to plant mums and pansies and do a little sprucing up for fall.  I want to share this cute Cricut Dog Card with you first.

This Cricut Dog card is so sweet! Post includes paper sizes and how to make it. Wait to til you see who received this card. It's just too cute!!!

How to Make this Cricut Dog Card

I just love this Cricut Dog Card!! He is on the Create a Critter Cricut Cartridge.  I cut him at 3″.  I started with a black base, and then used the layer keys to cut the brown layers.  There are no tiny pieces to these layers, so they are very easy to assemble.

The dog food bowl is also on the Create A Critter Cartridge, and I cut it at 1″.  To make the dog kibble, I have a Martha Stewart border punch that makes tiny circles when you make the border. I used it to cut the circles out of three colors of brown scrap paper.  That sounds like a lot of work, but it really wasn’t.  It was only a matter of punching 3 times and attaching them with a glue pen. The tiny dog bone is the perfect accent and is also on the same Cricut Cartridge.

Here are the paper sizes for the Cricut Dog Card.  I hope you are using your Cricut!

  • The base of the card is white 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″
  • Bazzill cardstock.  The green argyle paper is 5 1/4″ x 4″.
  • The plaid paper is 1 1/2″ x 5 1/4″, and the brown cardstock is 2 1/2″ x 5 1/4″.
  • I used a Stampin’ Up border punch to make the scalloped edge on the brown cardstock.

Here are a few other dog cards you might like to make.

Our furry friends are very popular on cards, and there are many Cricut dogs available.  Doodlecharms, Animal Kingdom, and Paper Doll Dress Up all have dogs, and I’m sure there are many others.

I don't usually show the recipients of my cards, but since this one was sooooo cute, I just had to. Meet Buster. He had surgery on this front legs to fix his growth plates, and I sent him this card. He LOVED the card and sent me a text to thank me! Photo Credit: Maggie Gowe

Cricut Sunflower Stretch Your Imagination Card

September 10, 2014 by Pam Larmore 2 Comments

Today I have a Cricut Sunflower Card for my end of summer Design Team Post for My Cricut Craft Room.  I’m sad to see summer come to an end, but I will be buying chrysanthemums, pansies, gourds, and pumpkins soon.

Cricut Sunflower Card Using the Stretch Your Imagination Cricut Cartridge

Instructions for this Cricut Sunflower Card

I used a piece of sunshine yellow for the card base.  It measures 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″.  This is a standard size for a card.  It will fit into an A2 Invitation size envelope.

Then I added a layer of pumpkin orange cardstock that measures 5 1/4″ x 4″.  The top layer has an off white background and a faint golden yellow print.  It measures 5″ x 3 3/4″.  I used a Martha Stewart Punch down the right side.

I cut the 4″ sunflower using the Cricut Stretch Your Imagination Cartridge.  I used the layers feature to make the flower different colors.  I started with a brown base.  Then I added the green leaves and finally the gold flower.

The center of the flower is cut out so that the brown centers shows through from the base. Before attaching the mats to the card base, I tied a yellow dotted ribbon bow around them.

I didn’t add a sentiment, since I’m not sure how the card will be used.  I have a few ladies who love buying my cards without sentiments so they can send well wishes to let friends know that they are thinking of them.  What a kind gesture!

The Cricut Stretch Your Imagination Cartridge is very versatile with die cut shapes for lots of occasions and seasons.  Here are some other Stretch Your Imagination Projects that you might enjoy.

Make This Easy Pig Cricut Card

August 30, 2014 by Pam Larmore 5 Comments

I have a fun Pig Cricut Card to share today for my design team spot at My Cricut Craft Room.  I have a friend who loves pigs, and this silly pink pig makes perfect cards!

Pig Cricut Card Using the Create A Critter Cricut Cartridge - Hog & Kisses by My Pink Stamper

I am at a weekend crop at a local hotel.  I’ve been working on some other Cricut Projects, so I will have more fun things to share soon.

I started the weekend by cutting a few things from the Country Life Cricut Cartridge.  I thought I had used it, but the tape was still on the cartridge, so I guess I hadn’t.  I need to get with it!!!  There are tons of fun shapes on that cartridge!

Pig Cricut Card Using the Create A Critter Cricut Cartridge - Hog & Kisses by My Pink Stamper

How To Make this Pig Cricut Card

Ok onto my Pig Cricut Card.  I used the Create A Critter Cricut Cartridge to cut this cute 3 1/2″ piggy.  The base of this card is a piece of white 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ cardstock folded in half.  The patterned papers are from the Nana’s Nursery – Baby Girl Stack by Die Cuts With a View.  I used the lime green dotted paper for the background.  It measures 5 1/4″ x 4″.  The striped paper is 5″ x 1 1/2″, and the floral paper is 5″ x 3″.  I tied a pink ribbon where the papers meet to cover the seam.

The Hogs & Kisses stamp is from My Pink Stamper.  I stamped it on a long rectangle, then trimmed the edge.  I added three pink pearls as accents to finish the front of the card.

I don’t always decorate the inside of my card, but I had leftover scraps that were the perfect size.  I added a small Prima flower to the lower right corner.  I just bought the Martha Stewart Branch Punch, and knew it would make great leaves to go behind the flower.  I added a tiny drop of Eucalyptus Stickles Glitter Glue to the center of flower.
