Dreaming of Spring Card

February 18, 2014 by Pam Larmore 11 Comments

This spring card features a digi stamp from A Day For Daisies.  It has lots of bring cheerful colors, which we all need this time of year.
Here's a sweet spring card while you're waiting for the snow to melt. The image is from A Day for Daisies. I colored her with copic markers.

It has been a brutal winter here in Maryland.  We have had weeks of below freezing weather with lots of days in the single digits.  Added to the cold temperatures, we have also had snow, freezing, sleet, “snain”, and slush.

We woke up again this morning to 2 inches of lovely slush on the sidewalk.  YUCK!!!  They are calling for temps in the 60’s at the end of the week, and it’s going to feel sooooo good!

I have done really well with the frigid weather, and I haven’t complained….not even once!  I have found myself daydreaming about spring flowers and sunshine though.

In honor of spring, I’m posting this card.  The papers are from a Die Cuts With A View Paper Stack.  The digi image is from a company that sells digital stamps called A Day For Daisies.  I think she is just the sweetest!

I colored her with Copic Markers.  I wanted some kind of background behind her, so I used a flicking motion using two shades of blue starting from the outside.  I like how it turned out, but it took me a long time.

I finished the card with layered teal and peach flowers held together with brads.  The scalloped border was made using a Martha Stewart Punch.

I hope it’s warm and sunny where you are.
