Printable St. Patrick’s Day Card

February 15, 2017 by Pam Larmore 3 Comments

Today I’m sharing a Printable St. Patrick’s Day Card for you to send or give.

Where I live, it seems that people either don’t celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at all, or they go completely hog wild over the green holiday.

This Printable St. Patrick's Day Card is free for a limited time. I show you some ways that you can add detail, layers, and embellishments to the card.

I’m  on the not celebrating side.  We never celebrated growing up, so I never did anything special with my kids either.

A few years ago, my daughter was nannying two younger kids, and she took them to a nearby St. Patrick’s Day parade.  I met her there, and we had a great time!  It was a kid friendly parade with floats, bands, and decorated golf carts and hay wagons.

The weather was beautiful, so it was a great thing to do.  The weather isn’t always as kind though in Maryland.  Mid March can be down right NASTY with howling wind and cold rainy days.

If I’m lucky, I will remember to wear green on March 17th so the leprechauns don’t pinch me.  Is that still the legend if you don’t wear green?

Whether you celebrate the Irish holiday or not, here is a Printable St. Patrick’s Day Card for you to send.  Even if it’s not on your list of favorite holidays, I bet a friend or loved one would love to hear from you.

Tips For Using Printable St. Patrick’s Day Card

  1. Print the card on 8 1/2 x 11 light colored card stock.  If you use copy paper, it will be too flimsy, and your card won’t stand up.  The ink may also bleed through to the other side.
  2. You can use a textured card stock if you want.  I often print on canvas texture card stock, and it looks great.
  3. If you’d like to add some layers to your card, cut out the front of the card, and mat it on a piece of matching card stock.  The using scrapbook tape runner adhesive, attach it to a card stock base.
  4. Add glitter, glitter glue, buttons, paper flowers, sequins, bows or other decorations to complete your card.  Now, instead of having a plain card, you have something that you have customized.

Very pretty!! I’m with you on not celebrating St Patrick’s Day- my area is more Hungarian Polish so the only reason people acknowledge it is if they want to drink green beer?. Your card is beautiful and very professionally done! Thanks for linking!
