More Backgrounds Using Copic Markers

April 12, 2014 by Pam Larmore 2 Comments

Have you used your Copic Markers to make backgrounds?  I was playing around with my Copic Markers on day, and seeing which colors blend well.  I tried different combinations of similar shades, from very light, to bright.

I posted my Sunset Backgrounds using Copic Pens, and here are more Backgrounds Using Copic Markers.

When I was done playing, I didn’t want to waste what I had done, so I borrowed a Stampin’ Up stamp from my Mom and stamped the image in black.  I colored the flowers and leaves with Copics, but I kept them light and subtle.

I used Nestabilities to cut out the oval and scalloped oval.  the pattern papers from Die Cuts With a View.

Here is another card with a similar background in shades of blue and green.  The patterned paper is retired from Close To My Heart.  I added a simple blow as a final touch.

I’m still fairly new to Copic Markers.  I got started with the Copic Markers 36 piece set.

Have you used your Copic Markers for making backgrounds?  Here is a post from earlier this week where I used Copics to make sunsets, water and field backgrounds for geese.
