Heart Shaped Cricut Love Card

January 14, 2018 by Pam Larmore 5 Comments

My Cricut Maker Machine never ceases to amaze me.   It cuts the tiniest holes and most intricate pieces, which is exactly what I needed for this Cricut Love Card.

When I spotted this card in Cricut Design Space, with all of it’s wonderful layers, I knew that I wanted to make it.  I also knew that it would be a lot of work, but it would be worth the extra effort.

I’m joining some talented ladies to bring you awesome Valentine’s Day Cricut Projects.  I will be bringing you more Craft And Create Projects this year.   Make sure you check them out after looking at my card.

This card is designed so that when it’s closed, the two sides intertwine to form a beautiful floral heart.

To find this card in Cricut Design Space™ click Images on the left side bar.  Then type Mother’s Day Bouquet into the search bar in the upper right corner.  This is a versatile card and can be used for Valentine’s Day, Wedding, Anniversary, and of course Mother’s Day.

This is how the file looks when it loads.  You will notice that there are lots of colors.  I wanted to use patterned papers for some of the layers, and it took me awhile to figure out which layers I wanted in which colors.

After cutting the card base, layers, envelope, and envelope flap insert I adhered the larger pieces with scrapbook adhesive.  I used a <rel=”nofollow” a href=”http://www.shareasale.com/m-pr.cfm?merchantID=7429&userID=483285&productID=554838004″ target=”_blank” rel=”noopener”>Zig Glue Pen for the smaller pieces of the flowers and leaves.

I laid out all of my pieces before gluing everything, to make sure I had them in the correct place.

After the card was completely assembled, I added adhesive backed pearls to some of the flower centers.

To complete the card, I added <rel=”nofollow” a href=”http://www.shareasale.com/m-pr.cfm?merchantID=7429&userID=483285&productID=550169216″ target=”_blank” rel=”noopener”>Crystal and Eucalyptus Stickles Glitter Glue to accent the flowers and leaves.

I love being able to make a matching envelope to go with my cards.  It adds a really personal touch, and a patterned envelope is so fancy.

This Cricut Love Card was a bit of a challenge, but now that I’ve done it once, I want to try it in other colors.
