Handmade Cricut Thanksgiving Cards

November 19, 2013 by Pam Larmore 21 Comments

Gobble Gobble!!!  I wanted to make some Cricut Thanksgiving Cards for a few very special ladies.  I saw this turkey on the Create A Critter 2 Cricut Cartridge.  Ooooh I love the cute animals on that cartridge.

This Turkey Cricut Thanksgiving Card is perfect for sending Thanksgiving greetings. It uses the Create A Critter 2 Cricut Cartridge

How to Make This Turkey Cricut Thanksgiving Card

This card is a traditional A2 (5 1/2″ x 4 1/2″) card.  I cut the turkey on 2 1/2″ using the Create A Critter 2 Cricut Cartridge.    When I cut him out, I accidentally threw out the beaks, so he only has a wobble.  After assembling Tom and his friends, I added a little glitter with Burgundy and Copper Stickles.

My Mom, a friend, and I meet twice a month for what we call Scrap N Chat.  A few weeks ago, I cut the turkeys, then I assembled the cards 2 weeks later.  Meeting on a regular basis has really gotten me motivated to finish lots of projects.

The patterned papers are from a stack called The Modern Meadow from Die Cuts With A View.  It is full of lots of fall and earth toned patterned papers.  They are great for fall, and also perfect for natural and neutral cards and scrapbook layouts.  I used a printed rust colored paper and a coordinating striped paper with the same rust and other fall colors.  I punched a decorative edge on the top edge of the striped edge using a Martha Stewart Border Punch.

To finish off the card, I tied a nature twine bow on the bottom portion of the card. I’m so happy that I got these cards done in plenty of time for Thanksgiving.  I need to get the in the mail by the end of the week!

I hope you liked this Cricut Thanksgiving Card.  The Create A Critter 2 Cricut Cartridge is wonderful to add to your collection.  There are lots of animals and extras to add to your paper crafts.  There are also titles to coordinate with the animals and accessories.
