Handmade Teddy Bear Card Using Copic Markers and Nestabilities

May 30, 2014 by Pam Larmore 5 Comments

Happy Friday!!!  Pat yourself on the back for making it through another week.  I thought I’d end the week with a cute handmade teddy bear card.  This pretty girl would make a great baby card or birthday card for a little girl.  It could be a sweet card for just saying Hello.

Handmade Teddy Bear Card - Digi teddy bear image colored with copic markers. Card also uses Nestabilities oval, flowers, rhinestones, and patterned paper.

How I Made this Handmade Teddy Bear Card

This sweet bear image is from Stamp Art Design.  Stamp Art Design stamps are available exclusively through Whimsy Stamps, and it is called Little Bear Spring Bouquet.  It is a digi stamp that I colored with Copic Markers.

Do you color images before or after choosing your paper.  I have a feeling that most of you choose your papers, then color your image to match them.  I do just the opposite!  I color the image, then choose papers to match.

For this Handmade Teddy Bear Card, I used a piece of white 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ piece of cardstock for a base.  Then I folded it in half.  I cut a piece of 5 1/4″ x 4″ orange cardstock for a mat.

I found the dotted paper in my Mom’s stash and it matched the teddy bear perfectly. I cut it to 5″ x 3 1/4″.

The blue scalloped oval is a Nestabilities by Spellbinders.  The flowers are from Prima.  I stacked three different size flowers in the lower right corner, holding them together with glue dots.  I added tiny orange rhinestones to the centers of the flowers.

Ta daa!!!  This Handmade Teddy Bear Card was pretty easy card to make.  It came together quickly, and turned it really cute!

Whatever you have planned for this weekend, I hope it’s fun!

What a sweet little bear card! I love the soft colors you chose and the bright flowers to accent her. You are so right, she could be a baby card or a birthday card equally as well. Thanks so much for joining us this week at QKR Stampede’s weekly challenge!
