Handmade Card Using House Mouse Rabbit Rubberstamp

June 12, 2014 by Pam Larmore 4 Comments

I have a short list of favorite stamp companies, but one of the companies that made the list is House Mouse by Stampabilities.

Ahhhhh……Calgon, Take me away!!!!   This little bunny enjoying his bubble bath always makes me laugh.  Who couldn’t use a long soak in a bubble bath??This bunny stamp is from House Mouse. House Mouse makes the the cutest darn animals, and they aren’t always mice.  There are rabbits, cats, and bears.

The mice are mischievous and always up to no good.  Many of the stamps are for any occasion, but when you combine them with holiday themes, you can use them for handmade cards all year long.

How I Made This House Mouse Card

I colored the image with Copic Markers, but you can use any kind of marker or colored pencils.

The card base is 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 and folded on the long side.  I used a green dotted paper cut to 5 1/4″ x 4″ as the mat.  Then I cut another mat from a coordinating paper, measuring 5″ x 3 3/4″.  The final patterned paper has a larger print and measures 4″ x 2″.

The patterned papers are from a Die Cuts With A View Paper Stack.  I love using paper stacks or kits.  It makes it really easy to coordinate papers.

The oval and scalloped ovals were cut with Nestabilities by Spellbinders.  I used the green dotted paper for the background oval.

I punched the edges using a border punch by Stampin’ Up.  I added green and white Baker’s twine tied in a bow to finish the card.

To finish the card, I highlighted the bubbles with Turquoise Stickles Glitter Glue which was the perfect accent.  When using Stickles or any type of Glitter Glue, always make it the last thing you do on your card so you can set it aside to dry.
