DIY K Cup Holder – Pattern and Instructions

January 18, 2016 by Pam Larmore 2 Comments

This DIY K Cup Holder makes a great little Thank You gift or Friendship present.  Do you know someone who can’t live without their Keirig?  They would love to have one of these!

This DIY K Cup Holder is made from scrapbooking paper and decorated with a cute snowman stamp. This is an awesome little Christmas gift, stocking stuffer, or Thank You present! I need to make some of these for my co workers.

It’s so much fun to give unexpected little gifts to someone.  If you have someone in your life that loves their Keirig, this is a nice little gift to make for them.  It could be for Christmas or any time of the year.  If they don’t drink coffee, maybe they would like hot tea, hot chocolate, or one of the brewed teas.

How To Make a DIY K Cup Holder

The instructions to make this DIY K Cup Holder are pretty simple.  You can use any pattern of heavy weight scrapbook paper and decorated it with whatever you have in your stash of supplies.

We made these at a weekend crop, and everyone loved them.  Since it was winter, we made them with Bo Bunny Winter Paper and decorated them with Snowman Stamps from Stampendous.

Here is a link to the template.  DIY K Cup Template

Start with an 8 1/2″ x 11″ piece of double sided Designer Paper.  Use the template to score and cut the paper.  Save the two rectangles that you cut out.  I used the opposite side to decorate the front of the DIY K Holder.

Fold the box as shown and hold together with Tacky Tape or other strong adhesive.

Stamp a snowman and snowflakes on a 1 3/4″ circle, and color them with markers or colored pencils.  Punch a 2″ scalloped circle out of solid cardstock and attach the 1 3/4″ circle to it.  I added a small bow to the lower left side and attached it to the top of the DIY K Cup Holder.

My Mom (in blue sweatshirt) and my friend, Cathy (in purple), work on their K Cup Holders at a weekend crop.

Here’s a close up of the snowman.  You can see the snowflakes in the background.  I stamped it in navy ink and colored the carrot now and the heart.

I love this K-cup holder! Great idea for a teacher gift for sure. I bet it’d work great for a Valentine’s “I love you a Latte” or something else cute and coffee, too.
