Craft Therapy Thursday Link Party #16

July 16, 2015 by Pam Larmore 4 Comments

Welcome to Craft Therapy Thursday Link Party #16 sponsored by P.S. I Love You Scrapbooking. Craft Linky Party sponsored by P.S. I Love You - Come visit and link up to 3 craft projects. www.psiloveyouscrapbooking.com

I’ve done quite a bit of crafting this week.  On Tuesday, I got to craft with two little cuties.  They are 8 and 4 years old.  Kids love to paint, and I find that parents often don’t like for them to paint because of the mess.  So we painted at the dining room table ALL AFTERNOON!  They did a great job with only a little bit of mess.  I had bought wooden birdhouses at Joanne Fabrics when they were on sale.  Then we painted milk cartons and turned them into bird feeders.  We used bottle tops for the eyes.  They turned out so cute!  And finally, we turned toilet paper rolls into octopus.  They turned out so cute, so next week we have plans to make raccoons, owls, foxes, and pigs.  I can’t wait!

Yesterday, my daughter asked if I would wait at her house for the TV installation man.  You never know how long you’re going to have to wait, so like any smart crafter I took something to work on.  I didn’t want to pack everything I own, so I only took my Stampin’ Up Ink organizer, sponges, white paper, and paper trimmer.  I had the most relaxing afternoon sponging backgrounds for cards.  I tried different sponging techniques, making clouds, mountains, water, and trees.

Hey Pam! What fun with the little ones. My oldest granddaughter’s favorite thing to do was fingerpaint but she would paint anything. Thanks for the heads up about the YouTube event. I’ll post that to my blog tomorrow! We miss you on the PBR board but sounds like you’re having fun! Creative Blessing! Kel

I love to paint…I’m not good at it, but I still find it relaxing.
