Wild Rose Studio Spring Card

April 11, 2018 by Pam Larmore 3 Comments

I didn’t think spring would EVER get here this year. We’ve had snow in Maryland twice this month…yes TWICE in April. I was almost ready to pack up and move to Florida.  This afternoon, it’s finally sunny outside with the weatherman predicting temps in the 80’s for this weekend.  Woohoo!!!!  To celebrate, I made this Spring Card using a stamp from Wild Rose Studio.

These cute robin couple (or are they bluebirds? hmmm) are also celebrating the arrival of spring in their fresh nest with their fresh laid egg.

Wild Rose Studio Stamps and Cards

April 4, 2017 by Pam Larmore 2 Comments

Three years ago, I was scrolling through Facebook, and the SWEETEST card ever caught my eye.  I had to track down the manufacturer of that stamp, and a few minutes later I was introduced to Wild Rose Studio.  It was love at first site.

Wild Rose Studio has the most adorable stamps for making greeting cards. There's Bella the Elephant, Bluebell the Deer, and so many more cute critters. Wild Rose Studio stamps and cards made with them are beautiful. They also have sentiment stamps, steel dies, papers, and printed panels.

Let me start by saying that Wild Rose Studio has not sponsored this post.  I just REALLY like their products.

Bunny Easter Card

February 18, 2017 by Pam Larmore 2 Comments

This Bunny Easter Card is so stinking cute!  Penny Black makes the sweetest little animals, including this bunny inside the cabbage.

It is a fairly small stamp, but I used Spellbinders Card Making Dies to fill the rest of the card.  It turned out really pretty!

This Bunny Easter Card is a stamp from a Penny Black Set. I colored it with Copic Markers. The die cuts from Spellbinders Card Creators Dies. I added Wink of Stella and Stickles glitter to finish the card.

Supplies to Make Bunny Easter Card

  • 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ White Card Stock for Card Base
  • Penny Black Garden Friends Stamp Set
  • Light Pink Card Stock
  • Light Blue Card Stock
  • White Card Stock – I use X-Press It Card Stock if I’m using Copic Markers.
  • Spellbinders Card Creator A2 Tranquil Moments
  • Oval Spellbinders Dies
  • Scalloped Ovals Spellbinders Dies
  • Tuxedo Black Momento Ink
  • Copic Markers
  • Clear Wink of Stella
  • Scrapbook Adhesive
  • Dimensional Tape
  • Star Dust Stickles

Instructions

  1. Stamp the bunny on white card stock in  Tuxedo Black Momento Ink.  Since I  colored it with Copic Markers, I wanted to use permanent ink.
  2. Color the bunny, cabbage, and butterflies using Copic Markers.
  3. I also did a light blue background with the markers.
  4. Use an oval Spellbinders die, and cut out the image.
  5. Cut a blue oval the next size up to mat the bunny image.
  6. Cut a white scalloped oval.
  7. Cut the blue background piece with the Spellbinders Die.
  8. Cut the rectangular background in pink.
  9. Use Scrapbook adhesive to assemble the card, referring to the photo for layering.  I put dimensional tape between the pink oval and the white scalloped oval layers.
  10. Use Wink of Stella to color the cabbage and butterflies.
  11. Use Stickles to add glitter to the die cuts.

You can really see the Wink of Stella in this photo.  It adds a really nice clear shimmer to your cards.

This looks like a really complected card, but it’s not….I promise!  The Spellbinders Card Creator makes it really easy to create this eye popping card.

Simply Stamps Daisy Card

February 3, 2017 by Pam Larmore 1 Comment

I wouldn’t mind winter so much if it wasn’t so long.  Come on father time, can we knock off 30 days? Please?  *sigh*

It might be cold and icky outside, but I’m already coloring flowers and making springy cards.  This daisy card using a stamp from Simply Stamps, goes with that theme perfectly.

I was given products and monetary compensation to write this post.  All opinions are my own.

In this close up, you can see the texture and dimension of the linen paper, rhinestones, Stickles, embossing on the circle, and shading on the flower.

Here’s a video showing the technique that I used to color the flower and assemble the card.

I took Copic classes from Kit and Clowder.  Their classes are amazing, and they have gorgeous samples on their website.

I hope you’ll take a look at my other Simply Stamps projects.
