Bird Birthday Card Using Create A Critter 2

March 30, 2014 by Pam Larmore 12 Comments

The Create A Critter 2 Cricut Cartridge is one of my favorites!  If you follow my blog, you will find lots of cards and projects using both Create A Critter Cartridges.  This little birdie decked out with a fancy hat is perfect to pair with the “It’s Your Bird-Day” sentiment from My Pink Stamper.

This cute bird would also be great on an Easter Card.  The patterned paper is discontinued paper from Close To My Heart. The large oval and scalloped ovals are Nestabilities from Spellbinders.   I ran the tan oval through the Cuttlebug with an embossing folder to add some texture.

The smaller oval and scalloped oval with the sentiment are punches from Stampin’ Up. Tan seam binding ribbon from Stampin’ Up matched the patterned paper perfectly.  I added a tiny fabric flower and rhinestone to the bird’s hat.   I also added a little bit of Stickles Glitter Glue to complete the card.

It’s been a rainy weekend here, which has been perfect for making cards.  My dining room table is covered in ink pads, stamps, rhinestones, paper, and scraps!  I went to a day crop today and worked on coloring some images and hope to turn them into cards this week.  I also have a special order card that is going to be a real challenge.  (I’ll keep it a secret as to theme, but I will post it when I get it finished.)

I hope you’ve had time to do something crafty this weekend!
